Hukum Perlindungan Data Pribadi dalam Bisnis Online di Indonesia
Abstract
The more technology develops, the faster communication information spreads, allowing there are no more restrictions for the rapid spread of personal data information. The internet has become a platform for transferring information, and open networks make it easier to access and share data. However, personal data can be hacked due to improper processing and storage. Globalization and rapid technological advancements have raised concerns regarding the privacy of personal data. Currently, especially Indonesia, Online Buying and Selling has developed very massively. Therefore, Indonesia issued a special regulation that regulates internet transactions because in e-commerce transactions, consumer rights are very risky to be violated. The protection of privacy of personal data is a human right mandated directly by the constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. Referring to the Data Protection Bill, it is formulated that personal data is any data about a person's life either that is identified and/or can be identified separately or combined with other information either directly or indirectly through electronic and/or non-electronic systems. Because the security of personal data is certainly very important for e-commerce users because basically personal data is very confidential so that in its use, users themselves can protect their personal data by avoiding and being aware of suspicious things. The legal relationship between personal data security and consumers as ecommerce users is very important in relation to ensuring the security of consumer personal data in order to achieve consumer protection and legal certainty in online shopping transactions.
