Abstract

One of the big responsibilities of an entrepreneur is to maintain a harmonious relationship between the company and its stakeholders. Why? Because the survival of the company is very dependent on stakeholders or target groups. Frictional conflicts are very likely to occur, especially when companies and stakeholders have different needs. Therefore, business management techniques are needed to balance the various types of needs. A popular technique over the last 10 years is Good Corporate Governance (GCG). GCG is considered as one of the keys to the success of a company to continue to grow in the long term and survive in global competition. GCG is a newly developed technique since the 1990s and was adopted by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in 1999.

Good governance is good governance implemented by the Indonesian government and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). According to the Indonesian Institute of Corporate Governance (IICG), corporate governance is a set of mechanisms that guide and direct companies so that company operations are carried out in accordance with the expectations of stakeholders.
